40 of our family learners enjoyed a magical day out to the Safari Park last term! We were lucky enough to see lots of different animals including giraffes, elephants, lions and zebras. After driving around the safari we had hot chocolate and cookies with Mrs Claus, walked around the dinosaur exhibition and watched the sea lions and penguins playing! We then went to see Father Christmas and all received a gift of our choice.

The visit was a reward for the families after working really hard for 10 weeks on our family learning course. We currently have 12 families enrolled and they have been doing a variety of activities such as cooking, sewing and crafts, as well as a different literacy and life skills theme each week. If you are interested in joining our family learning group please contact Mrs Teager.

We are looking forward to the next course which starts on Thursday 18th January; the course will focus on literacy, numeracy and basic English. It is a great opportunity to come in to school and work with your child but also gives parents, grandparents and carers the chance to work with a tutor form Birmingham Adult Education Service and explore their options with regards to accreditation and employment.
