Form time 8:30am-9am

Form time starts at 8.30am every morning and is an essential part of the school day.

Every school day begins with a from group line up in the playground. Each year group has its own designated area and will be joined by the Head of Year. Uniform, jewellery and equipment checks all take place by the tutor at this time and pupils then return to their form room or assembly.

During form time, students have an opportunity to engage in a range of activities including career updates, First News, attendance updates via the Sol tracker, a review of behaviour for learning points, competitions and key messages that help prepare them for the day or week ahead. This is also a time where students participate in the spiritual life of the school, reflect, and engage in prayer and liturgy.

All students will attend an assembly once a week. These are led by the senior leadership team, pastoral team, chaplaincy team or external providers. Assemblies follow the liturgical calendar and are aligned with key themes throughout the year. Each form group is expected to plan and deliver an assembly at least once a year.

Form time is supported by dedicated pastoral leaders and a team of tutors. Form time is pivotal to the personal development of our students and our character education programme which mostly encompasses the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
