The King’s Trust – Aston Villa Football Club

On Tuesday 24th February, The Kings Trust mentoring pupils had a great opportunity to go on a visit to Aston Villa FC for a world of work visit. This involved employability skills workshop, looking at all types of careers in football; from a coach to medical; to finance and HR. This opened up the pupils’ eyes in terms of the different opportunities available in this sector. Pupils then did a stadium tour, where they were given key facts about the stadium and the club. They finished off the day with a coaching session in the academy facilities. Pupils loved the experience and gained a lot from it.

Pupil voice:

“I liked the Aston Villa trip because we went to the stadium Villa Park and sat in the Executive lounge. The coaches were really relatable and made us feel more than welcome, I loved it. I wish my sincere thanks to AVFC staff”
