Our wonderful Year 9 pupils didn’t win the Envision competition on Friday 24th January, but they came very close. They had some great feedback about their school project (which was supporting their peers through the Options process), and particularly about how they conducted themselves during their presentation. All our pupils have grown in confidence since the start of the programme, and we have seen them grow and develop so much in only 12 weeks. Pupils worked with each other improving skills such as teamwork and determination. They worked with mentors from Atkins Realis (an Engineering company in the city centre) and this provided an insight into the world of work and how to work in an office environment. Pupils stood up in front of lots of people in the final, probably for the first time in their lives, and spoke with confidence, eye contact and skill. All pupils reeled off the presentation with no notes in front of them. I am so pleased they enjoyed their journey, and I am so incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
