Headteacher Recruitment Update: Holy Trinity Catholic School

Dear Parent / Carer(s),

The Local Governing Body (LGB) and St Teresa of Calcutta MAC Board of Directors, with advice from Birmingham Archdiocese Education Service,  have made the decision, from 1st January 2026, to appoint Mrs Jo Daw (current Deputy Headteacher) in the role of Interim Headteacher. Jo will hold the full authority and responsibility of the role, working closely with the LGB and the MAC to lead the school forward, building on its many strengths and continuing to develop its provision for pupils, families, and staff.

The Headteacher post will be re-advertised during the Spring Term 2026, with the intention that a substantive appointment will take effect from 1st September 2026, or earlier if agreed with the successful candidate.

To maintain strong leadership capacity, Jo will work with the LGB and the MAC to ensure that leadership remains robust, sustainable, and focused on both the daily running of the school and its longer-term priorities.

The LGB and the MAC are fully committed to supporting Jo in her leadership, and together we aim to provide stability, continuity, and confidence for pupils, families, and staff.

Thank you for your continued hard work, professionalism, and dedication, which are central to ensuring Holy Trinity Catholic School continues to be a beacon of Catholic education in central Birmingham.
