We had a fantastic day out yesterday! Despite the rain in the morning, the sun came out and we were able to enjoy the gardens outside.
The students also toured the Mediterranean, Arid, Tropical and Subtropical Glasshouses, they learnt about the range of global climates, different biomes and plant adaptation. They completed field sketches, quizzes and a scavenger hunt and had an indoor picnic!
Later in the afternoon the Manager of Education for the Botanical Gardens sent Mrs McDonagh an email which included the following:
‘We were very impressed with their behaviour and attitude to learning. We would be very happy to welcome your school again in the future.’
A great day had by all! All 28 pupils will now have the opportunity to enter a competition based upon their experiences of the day – Amazon Vouchers and BFLs up for grabs!
All of our students were perfectly behaved, polite and an absolute credit to our school.
